
Sri Vijaya Puram Sept 13: The Hindu Rashtra Shakti (HRS) organised a Hawan and Pujan ceremony of Lord Shiva at Ganga Sthal / Asthi Visarjan Project, Corbyn’s Cove Road, Opposite Hornbill Nest, on Saturday, 12th September 2026 at 10:00 AM.
The ceremony featured Vedic chanting, Hawan, Aarti and ceremonial unveiling of the Shiv Pratima. The rituals were performed under the guidance of Pandit Mr. Ravikesh Chand. A large number of devotees participated and offered prayers. The Shiv Murti was crafted by Mr. Raghesh Shasi and his team from Kerala.
The programme was attended by Mr. Anil Kumar Tiwari, State President, BJP, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, Mr. K. Vetri Velu, Senior Vice Chairperson, SVPMC, along with Ward Councillors Mr. C. Karunanidhi, Mr. Someshwar Rao and Mrs. D. Radhika, and other dignitaries Mrs. Sheela Singh, Mrs. Susheela Devi, Mr. Sekhar Rao, Mr. Yaghambaram T, Mr. P Yogesh, Mr. Arupadi, Mr. Sanjay Balan, Mr. Dheeraj Ram, Mr. Rajesh Puria, Mr. Hament Kumar Dhingra, Mr. Jitendra Narayan, Mr. Gautam Sharma, Mr. Murali Dharan, Mr. Sonu Raj and others.
From Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Mr. N. Venkat Ramana, State Vice President, Mr. Rajesh Mazumdar, State Youth Wing Vice President, Mr. N. K. Udhaya Kumar, State General Secretary (Organisation), Mr. P. V. Robin Palani Swamy, State President, Sainik Wing, Youth Wing Team and Mahila Morcha Team were present.
On the occasion, two Bael (Bilva) and one Shami tree were planted by Mrs. Sheela Singh and Mr. Rakeshwar Lall and Mr. Anil Kumar Tiwari.
After the conclusion of the Pujan and Hawan, members and volunteers of HRS cleaned the entire surrounding premises. HRS has appealed to islanders, tourists and all visitors to maintain cleanliness and sanctity of the area and not to litter. The Ganga Sthal / Asthi Visarjan Project and the Shiv Pratima Sthal have been developed with funds from the Smart City Project and is a place of faith and respect for all. Keeping it clean is our collective responsibility.
