Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 9: The Directorate of RD, PRIs & ULBs, Andaman and Nicobar Administration has launched an intensive mobilization drive to encourage eligible Rural Youth of the A&N Islands to enrol in free, residential and job-oriented skill training courses being offered under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0.
The training programme is designed to equip rural youth with industry-oriented skills and improve their employment prospects. The training is provided free of cost on a residential basis with 100% placement support upon successful completion of the training, as per the applicable DDU-GKY 2.0 provisions.
Recently, the Project Approval Committee, chaired by the Commissioner-Cum-Secretary (RD/Panch.), Andaman and Nicobar Administration approved skill training projects covering the following job-oriented trades:
