
Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 01: On 31.08.2026 Mr. Manojit Halder Pradhan Gram Panchayat Harinagar alongwith Mr. Dilip Kumar Das PSM and Mr. Anil Baroi UP Pradhan Gram Panchayat Swadeshnagar met Smti Pallavi Sarkar Secretary APWD, Agriculture, Veterinary and Fisheries to discuss some issues pertaining to Gram Panchayat .Mr. Manojit Halder informed the Secretary that the land proposed for the construction of a new Post Office is registered in the name of the APWD Department. Therefore, the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC) is required for proceeding with the construction of the Post Office. The matter had also been brought to the notice of the Secretary during their previous meeting.The Secretary informed the Pradhan that the approval for the NOC has been accorded and is under process and assured that it would be issued shortly.
Mr. Manojit Halder also requested the Secretary to issue necessary directions for the early commencement of the proposed rural road work at Harinagar Village. The Secretary assured him that she would look into the matter and make efforts to resolve the issue at the earliest.
Further, Mr. Anil Baroi, Up-Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Swadeshnagar, brought to the notice of the Secretary the issue of several dangerous trees standing along the roadside at Shantipur Village. He informed that an estimate for cutting these dangerous trees had been prepared by the APWD Department after completing all required codal formalities nearly three years ago. However, the trees have not been removed till date. He further pointed out that during cyclones and adverse weather conditions, branches from these trees frequently fall onto the road, posing a serious threat to the lives and property of the general public. The falling branches may also cause damage to the road constructed by the APWD Department. Mr. Anil Baroi requested the Secretary to kindly look into the matter and take necessary action for the early cutting and removal of the dangerous trees. After patiently hearing the matter, Smti Pallavi Sarkar, IAS, reportedly assured the Up-Pradhan that she would look into the issue and make efforts to resolve it as early as possible.
