Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 30: The road connecting Hawa Mahal to the backside of Rangat Bus Terminus and further towards Dasratpur has deteriorated considerably, causing serious inconvenience and safety concerns for road users.
The rural road, which falls under the Dasratpur Panchayat, is reportedly affected by around six to seven large potholes. During rainy weather, the potholes become filled with muddy water, making it difficult for motorists to identify their depth and avoid them.
Local residents say that two-wheelers and four-wheelers frequently encounter difficulties while passing through the damaged stretch. The condition of the road has also increased the risk of accidents, while vehicles may suffer damage when passing through the deep potholes.
Residents have urged the Dasratpur Panchayat and the concerned administration to conduct an immediate inspection of the road and undertake necessary repair and reconstruction work.
They have appealed to the authorities to take urgent action to restore the road to a safe and motorable condition, in order to prevent accidents, injuries and further damage to vehicles.
