Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 28: The Andaman & Nicobar Archives, Secretariat has invited applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Interns under the Short-Term Internship Programme for a period of three months, from October to December, 2026. The Internship Programme has been introduced with the objective of providing practical exposure and hands-on experience in archival management and related activities. The selected interns will have an opportunity to gain experience in various aspects of archival work, including preservation, arrangement and cataloguing of records, digitization and other related activities.
Candidates who have recently completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in History from a recognized University are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed their degree during the current or immediately preceding academic years. The selected Interns will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs.10,000/- during the internship period.
Interested and eligible candidates may submit their applications in the prescribed format along with copies of relevant educational certificates and other required documents to the Assistant Secretary (Archives) Andaman & Nicobar Archives, Secretariat, Sri Vijaya Puram, on or before 15th September, 2026. The prescribed application format and detailed terms and conditions of the Internship Programme may be obtained from the Office of the A&N Archives. The last date for submission of applications is 15th September, 2026.
