Port Blair, June 26: A sixteen member hockey team recently reached Sonepat, Hariyana to play Junior National Hockey Championship and confirmed their participation in the tournament. But suddenly team, which is said to be consisting of children from A & N Islands, vanished in thin air.
Although the name of the A & N Team appeared in final fixtures, the team did not turn up even for a single match. As per the rules, the team must consist of Island children, selected after regional and state tournaments for the National Championship, but the team could not be traced anywhere.
Though Andaman Sheekha claims that the team was a ghost team, but even in that case no one knows where the said ghost team has vanished. Where are the children of the said ghost team? Who took them to Sonepat and who brought them back? When some children had represented A & N Islands, there must be some records of their actual existence and identity or the team actually had 16 ghosts and no players?
What if the team actually consisted of Island Children? Where those children have gone? Were they kidnapped or killed? Does A & N Police have any clue about the children who recently represented A & N Islands in Junior National Hockey Championship? Will the All A & N State Hockey Association clarify regarding this matter?
