Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 19: Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan State President Mr. O. Basheer met Mr. Vinayak Chamadia, IAS, Secretary, Information, Publicity & Tourism Department, to discuss the development of key tourism destinations and ways to promote tourism in the region.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the development of Right Mayo Creek, Shol Bay-19 and the Bird Watching Centre at Kalatang. The discussions focused on enhancing the tourism potential of these destinations, developing local tourism opportunities and providing better facilities and amenities for visitors.
The meeting also covered various measures that could contribute to the sustainable development of tourism in the area and create greater opportunities for local communities.
The Tourism Secretary assured that all possible cooperation and assistance would be extended towards the development of tourism in the region.
The meeting was seen as a positive initiative towards strengthening tourism infrastructure and promoting new tourism destinations in the area.
