
Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 17: Mr. Manojit Halder, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Harinagar, has extended his heartiest thanks and deep gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Admiral D.K. Joshi, for conferring upon him the Best Pradhan Award on 15th August 2026 under Mayabunder Block.
The prestigious plaque was presented on the momentous occasion of the 80th Independence Day 2026 by the Lieutenant Governor, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The inscription on the award honors Mr. Manojit Halder, Pradhan, Harinagar, “for his outstanding performance in the implementation of the flagship schemes of the Government of India.”
On this occasion, the Pradhan expressed his sincere appreciation to the senior administration officials, including Mr. Sushant Padha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of North & Middle Andaman, and Mr. Apurva Sharma, DANICS, Director of Rural Development, for their continuous guidance and administration support. Mr. Halder also extended his heartfelt thanks to Mr. P.K. Singh, BDO, Mabunder Block, Mrs. Shibani Mazumder (Pramukh, Panchayat Samity, MB), Mr. Sankar Mondal (ZPM, Harinagar Constituency), Mr. Dilip Kumar Das (PSM), all Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members, and all Officials from various Department.
Crucially, the Pradhan dedicated this achievement to the residents and villagers of Gram Panchayat Harinagar. He noted that their unwavering support, cooperation, and commitment to rural development and commendable community work were the ultimate driving forces behind securing this prestigious regional accolade. He reaffirmed his commitment to working tirelessly for the progress and welfare of the constituency.
