Sri Vijaya Pyram, Aug 14: The NCC Army Unit, Sri Vijaya Puram, organised a “Tiranga Yatra” on 10.08.2026 with the participation of approximately 200 NCC cadets. The Yatra was aimed at promoting patriotism, national unity and pride among the youth. The cadets sang “Vande Matram” song and marched with the National Flag, raising patriotic slogans and spreading the message of “Unity, Discipline and National Pride.”
On the occasion, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” plantation activity was also conducted by the NCC cadets of JNRM College on 14 August 2026. A total of 100 NCC cadets enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive.
The plantation activity was undertaken to create awareness among cadets about environmental protection, conservation of nature and the importance of increasing green cover. The initiative also encouraged the cadets to develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment and contribute towards a greener and cleaner nation.
The enthusiastic participation of the cadets in both activities reflected the NCC’s commitment towards patriotism, environmental consciousness, social responsibility and nation building.
