Hutbay, Little Andaman, 13 August: As part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan”, a grand Rangoli and Drawing Competition was organised at PM SHRI Government Model Senior Secondary School, Hutbay, Little Andaman, in collaboration with the Andaman Nicobar Tour Operators Association (ANTOA), the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and India Tourism, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The students of the school participated enthusiastically in the programme and expressed their feelings of patriotism and love for the nation through their artwork. The students created beautiful drawings and Rangoli designs depicting the Indian National Flag, patriotism, and the history and culture of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Their creativity, enthusiasm and patriotic spirit added special significance to the programme.
On the occasion, Mr. Santil Kumar, In-charge of PM SHRI Government Model Senior Secondary School, Hutbay, and Dr. Usha, Programme Coordinator, expressed their happiness over the successful conduct of the programme. They stated that organising such programmes under the “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan” helps strengthen the values of patriotism, unity and responsibility towards the nation among students. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism, India Tourism and ANTOA for their support in making the programme successful.
The ANTOA team actively participated in the programme and played an important role in its successful organisation. Led by Ms. Keya Sarkar, along with Mr. Sudhakar, Mr. Vijay, Mr. Kalyan Mondal and Mr. Balaram Mondal, and other team members and supporters, the team contributed to the successful conduct of the event.
As part of the programme, the students were recognised for their outstanding performances in the Drawing and Rangoli competitions. Category-wise First, Second and Third Prize winners were felicitated with trophies and prizes. The winning students were extremely happy and expressed their gratitude for the recognition and encouragement.
ANTOA President Shri Simson expressed his gratitude to all the participating students, teachers, coordinators and the entire organising team. He said that the “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan” is not merely a programme, but an important initiative to spread the spirit of respect, pride and unity for the nation among the people.
He also appreciated the students of Little Andaman for their outstanding creativity, enthusiasm and patriotic spirit displayed through the Rangoli and Drawing Competition.
Shri Simson specially expressed his sincere gratitude to Regional Director, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Shri Pranav Prakash, and Assistant Director Shri N. Vel Murugan, for providing ANTOA with the opportunity to organise this important programme under the “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan.”
He further stated that ANTOA will continue to actively participate in programmes related to tourism, culture, education and national interest in the future.
