Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 11: The Gems of India – Pilot Phase, a unique initiative to showcase India’s rich cultural diversity, heritage, traditions, tourism and local stories, has been launched on the MY Bharat Portal for six pilot States/UTs, including Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Goa and Ladakh.
Under the initiative, interested youth can participate by creating and submitting original digital content highlighting the unique culture, heritage, tourism, traditions, music, arts and local stories of their respective districts.
Youth can participate through the MyWAVES platform by accessing the Voices (VOs) published on the MY Bharat Portal. A dedicated “Gems of India” Mega Event has also been created on the MY Bharat Portal, bringing together all the Voices of the six pilot States/UTs on a single platform.
The programme also provides an exciting opportunity for young content creators to win cash awards of up to ₹50,000 at the District level, ₹2,00,000 at the State/UT level and ₹5,00,000 at the National level.
