Rangat, August 10, 2026: As part of the celebrations leading up to Independence Day, Gram Panchayat Rangat, in collaboration with Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Rangat, organized a grand Tiranga Yatra on Monday with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The Yatra witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 300 students, local residents and PRI representatives, who came together to celebrate the spirit of national unity, patriotism and pride. The major attraction of the event was a magnificent 75-foot-long Tricolour, which was proudly carried by the participants throughout the Yatra.
At the beginning of the programme, Mr. Venkateswar Rao, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Shivapuram, welcomed the Chief Guest and all dignitaries, students, PRI representatives and members of the public. His warm welcome set the tone for the patriotic event.
The event was graced by Mr. Deepanshu Vohra, DANICS, Assistant Commissioner, Rangat, as the Chief Guest. The Tiranga Yatra was formally flagged off by the Chief Guest, marking the beginning of the grand procession.
Also present on the occasion were Smt. Luxmi Devi, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Rangat, and Mr. K. Ravi Kumar, Panchayat Secretary, along with other PRI representatives, teachers, students and local residents.
The Yatra commenced from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium, Rangat, proceeded towards the Administrative Block, Rangat, and then returned to the starting point. Throughout the route, participants proudly waved the National Flag and raised patriotic slogans, creating an atmosphere filled with national pride, unity and enthusiasm.
The participation of a large number of students and local residents reflected the strong sense of patriotism and community spirit among the people of Rangat. The sight of the 75-foot Tricolour moving through the streets, accompanied by patriotic slogans, added a special significance to the celebration.
The Tiranga Yatra conveyed a powerful message of “Unity in Diversity” and respect for the National Flag, while encouraging citizens, particularly the younger generation, to remain connected with the values and sacrifices associated with India’s freedom struggle.
The successful conduct of the Tiranga Yatra reflected the collective spirit, patriotism and enthusiasm of the Rangat community ahead of Independence Day. The programme concluded on a positive and patriotic note, with participants reaffirming their pride in the nation and their commitment to the ideals represented by the Tricolour.
