Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 6: The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS) has officially launched its presence on major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (X), with the objective of strengthening communication and engagement with the general public. The initiative aims to provide timely updates on institutional developments, healthcare services, academic activities, research initiatives, and public health awareness programmes undertaken by ANIIMS. Through these platforms, the institute seeks to ensure greater transparency, accessibility of information, and direct outreach to the community.
By leveraging social media, ANIIMS will disseminate important announcements, health advisories, heath talk by specialist, event highlights, and achievements of its faculty, staff, and students. The platforms will also serve as a medium to promote health education and awareness among the people of the A&N Islands.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof.& Dr. Mukesh Tripathi, Director, ANIIMS, stated that the launch of official social media pages marks a significant step towards bridging the gap between the institution and the public, fostering better awareness and participation in healthcare initiatives.
