Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 02: The Ranchi Association, Andaman & Nicobar Islands (RAAN), in collaboration with Aadinivas, Ranchi (Jharkhand), successfully organized the Adivasi Football Knockout Tournament to mark the occasion of World Indigenous Day. The tournament aimed to promote sportsmanship, unity, and awareness among tribal youth while spreading the message of a Drug-Free Andaman Islands
The thrilling final match was played at the JNRM Campus Ground, where Kamaraj nagar defeated Spark Boys by 2–0 to emerge as the tournament champions. The exciting contest was witnessed by a large number of enthusiastic spectators.
Mr. Simson, President, Andaman Nicobar Tour Operators Association (ANTOA), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and congratulated both teams for their outstanding performance. He appreciated the efforts of the organizers for encouraging tribal youth through sports and promoting the message of a healthy and drug-free society
The event was held in the presence of Mr. Fabianus Toppo, President, Ranchi Association; Mr. Suman Lakra, Vice President; Mr. Prakash Minj, General Secretary; Mr. Sebastian Tirkey, Secretary; Mr. Sanjay, Joint Secretary; social worker Mr. Rajkumar; Mr. Bipin; and Mr. Salman Khan, Office Secretary, ANTOA, along with many distinguished guests and supporters
The tournament received full support and sponsorship from the Jharkhand-based NGO Aadinivas, which joined hands with the Ranchi Association in promoting the campaign “Drug-Free Andaman Islands” through sports and community participation.
The Ranchi Association expressed its sincere gratitude to ANTOA for its special support and cooperation in making the tournament a grand success. The Association also thanked Adinivas, Ranchi (Jharkhand), all participating teams, volunteers, sponsors, and the spectators for their valuable contribution to the success of the event.
