
Sri Vijaya Puram, July 28: A mega ‘Dak Choupal-cum-Awareness Programme’ was successfully organized on 28/07/2026 at the Panchayat Hall of Harinagar Gram Panchayat. The event was meticulously organized by Mr. Nani Das, , , Sri Vijaya Puram, along with Mr. Sukumar Das and Mr. Sunil Kumar Samadder, Mail Overseers, and all Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) and Branch Postmasters (BPM) of the Postal Department. The programme was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Manojit Halder, Pradhan. The event commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by the Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Harinagar, Mr. Manojit Halder. Highlighting the importance of the event, Mr. Prasanjit Mondal, Chairman of the Standing Committee, presented a ceremonial Shawl to the Chief Guest, Mr. Nani Das, Deputy Superintendent of Postal HQ, as a mark of respect on behalf of the Harinagar Gram Panchayat. The programme was graced by the prominent presence of Mr. Sankar Mondal, ZPM Harinagar Constituency, Mr. Dilip Kumar Das, PSM, alongside elected members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), postal officials, and a large gathering of local villagers. During the technical sessions, the dignitaries from the Postal Department delivered insightful speeches, thoroughly educating and awareness-raising among the crowd regarding key citizen-centric services, including Post Office Savings Schemes, Postal Life Insurance (PLI), and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI).The initiative witnessed enthusiastic public participation, resulting in a large number of villagers immediately registering themselves on-the-spot on 28/07/2026 for various welfare schemes managed by the Postal Department. Expressing his appreciation, Pradhan Mr. Manojit Halder extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Postal Department for bringing such crucial financial literacy programmes directly to the rural areas for the benefit of the public.
