Sri Vijaya Puram, July 24: The Directorate of Social Welfare, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, invites Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), corporate entities and interested individuals to register on the PANKHUDI Portal, an integrated digital platform developed by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.
The PANKHUDI Portal is a single-window digital platform that enables organizations and individuals to support programmes for the welfare and development of women and children. The portal provides a transparent and accountable system for contributing to initiatives related to nutrition, health, early childhood care and education, child protection, women safety and women empowerment through CSR and voluntary support. All contributions are accepted only through non-cash modes.
The Ministry has launched the portal to promote collaboration between Government departments, corporate organizations, NGOs, NRIs and citizens for improving the infrastructure and quality of services in Anganwadi Centres, Child Care Institutions and other welfare institutions across the country.
In the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Directorate of Social Welfare manages 720 Anganwadi Centres under 5 ICDS Projects and 28 Sectors. These centres provide essential services related to nutrition, health, pre-school education and care for women and children. Support received through the PANKHUDI Portal will help strengthen these services and improve facilities, especially in remote areas of the Islands.
The Directorate of Social Welfare encourages all eligible CSR organizations, NGOs, corporate entities, NRIs and interested individuals to register on the PANKHUDI Portal and support initiatives for the welfare of women and children. Their contribution will help achieve the objectives of Mission Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0, Mission Vatsalya and Mission Shakti.
Interested organizations and individuals may register through the official PANKHUDI Portal. For any assistance, they may contact the Directorate of Social Welfare, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, during office hours.
The Andaman and Nicobar Administration appeals to all eligible stakeholders to join this initiative and contribute towards the welfare, development and empowerment of women and children in the Union Territory.
