Sri Vijaya Puram, July 23: South Andaman Police once again demonstrated its prompt response and commitment towards public safety by successfully tracing a missing youth within four hours of the registration of an FIR and reuniting him safely with his family.
On 21.07.2026, a complaint was received at Police Station Aberdeen from a resident of Dairy Farm reporting that her son had been missing since he left home on 20.07.2026 at around 2:00 PM and did not return.
Acting without delay, FIR No. 136/2026 dated 21.07.2026 under Section 140(3) BNS was registered at PS Aberdeen. Under the supervision of Inspector Vijay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen, a dedicated police team comprising SI Dinesh Jaiswal, HC(SG) Mohd. Rafique and PC K. Jagadish Babu was immediately deployed.
The police team launched an intensive search operation covering the Science Centre, Corbyn’s Cove and adjoining areas. CCTV footage from multiple locations was examined, local informers were activated, and continuous ground searches were carried out. The team’s coordinated efforts, timely action and systematic investigation resulted in the successful tracing of the missing youth within four hours of FIR registration.
The missing youth was safely reunited with his family, bringing immense relief to his distressed parents.
