Port Blair, June 20: A One day awareness campaign-cum-peoples education programme on PMEGP and other Govt. sponsored self employed schemes for the year 2013-14 held at Diglipur today in the Industries Department premises.
The programme aims at disseminating information to the participants about the role of A&NI KVIB and other govt. departments like Directorate of Industries, Agriculture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, NYKS, other towards rural industrialization through setting up of micro-enterprises/ individual units/ self employment venture duly availed finance under PMEGP and other govt. sponsored schemes.
The awareness programme was inaugurated by Shri. Gauranga Dutta , Pramukh Diglipur in presence of Pradhan. Shri. Ramachandran & representatives of the all the departments were present. Shri Atanu Sinha Roy executive officer briefed about the PMEGP scheme to the participants and asked to avail the participants to avail the opportunity.
There were 61 participants participated at the programme.The awareness programme followed by extension of consultancy services to the rural entrepreneurs such as preparation of project profile, execution of affidavit, documentation, filling up of loan applications and other consultancy services under PMEGP scheme by the Rural ICS Cell of the A&NI KVIB on the spot.
