Sri Vijaya Purm, July 19: Fulfilling a long-pending demand of the local community, Mr. Manojit Halder, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Harinagar, alongside Mr. Dilip Kumar, PSM, Mr. Sumanta Das, Surpanch GP Harinagar and Mr. Anil Baroi, UP Pradhan GP Swadeshnagae performed a worship ceremony and flagged off a new, large-capacity school bus today. Provided by the State Transport Service (STS) Department, this dedicated bus service will benefit students residing across four Panchayats: , , , and .
Previously, the small-capacity student bus assigned to these routes caused significant overcrowding and commuting challenges. Recognizing the daily hardships faced by the children, the local leadership actively pushed the matter forward with senior transport authorities. Through consistent liaison with the , and the of the STS Unit in Rangat, the community successfully secured a larger vehicle capable of comfortably accommodating the student population.
Speaking on the auspicious occasion, Pradhan Mr. Manojit Halder extended his heartiest gratitude on behalf of the students and parents to the STS Secretary, Director of STS and the Assistant Engineer, Rangat, for their prompt intervention and commitment to student welfare and safety.
