
Sri Vijaya Puram, July 12: As part of the ongoing outreach initiative “Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore”, a Public Grievance Redressal Programme and Revenue Camp Court was organized in the Multipurpose Hall, Diglipur under the chairmanship of Mr. Sushant Padha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman. The programme was attended by Mr. Santosh Prakash, AC Diglipur, Heads of Departments, officials of the District Administration, representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and general public.
The initiative aims to strengthen grassroots governance by ensuring effective service delivery and timely redressal of public grievances through direct interaction between the Administration and citizens.
During the programme, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with PRI representatives and members of the public, heard their grievances relating to various Government Departments and directed the concerned Departments to take prompt and appropriate action for their early resolution. Revenue matters, including cases relating to sub-division of land, mutation, diversion and correction of names in revenue records, were also taken up and disposed of on the spot, facilitating timely and citizen-centric service delivery.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated the District Administration’s commitment to responsive, transparent and accessible governance. He emphasized the importance of coordinated departmental efforts, timely disposal of public grievances and sustained engagement with local communities to ensure efficient delivery of Government services at the grassroots level.
The District Administration shall continue to organize “Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore” programmes across North & Middle Andaman District to bring Government services closer to the people and ensure that public grievances are addressed in a timely, transparent and effective manner.
