Sri Vijaya Puram, July 12: An awareness programme was organized at SBI Main Branch, Mohanpura, under the theme ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’, with the objective of creating awareness among SBI employees and Self-Help Group (SHG) members about various welfare schemes implemented by Directorate of Social Welfare, A&N Administration.
During the programme, Probation Officer (Juvenile Home), Directorate of Social Welfare, delivered an informative session on various welfare schemes and services being implemented by the Directorate. The participants were sensitized about welfare initiatives for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, women, children, transgender persons, and other vulnerable sections of society. Information was also provided on the eligibility criteria, application procedures, and the benefits available under these schemes, encouraging participants to avail themselves of the services for their overall well-being.
As part of the programme, awareness was also created on the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse and emphasizing the collective responsibility of individuals and communities in building a drug-free society. Mr. C. Raj, Director, SBI RSETI (Rural Self Employment Training Institute), appreciated the Department for conducting such a meaningful awareness session and emphasized the importance of organizing similar initiatives to promote awareness and ensure greater outreach of government welfare schemes. The interactive session enabled participants to raise queries and seek clarifications on various aspects of the schemes and services offered by the Directorate.
