Port Blair, June 19: Army School at Brichgunj invites applications from the civilians for their wards for admission during the academic session commencing from 24th June, 2013. From this academic year onwards, the school management has decided to open its portals to the wards of their fellow civilians to avail this facility of quality education being imparted by the school.
Army School Birchgunj is a noble initiative of the Army to give value and holistic education to the children of defence personnel. It was established in the year 1991 as a Kindergarten School and got upgraded to Class V in 2001. The school is registered under Directorate of Education, Andaman &Nicobar. It is following NCERT pattern under AWES ( Army Welfare Education Society), New Delhi. The school is having Educomp Smart Classes, Computer Lab, Dance, Dramatic and Music classes, activity room and spacious classrooms. Equitation (Horse Riding) and Skating are part of the co-curricular activities.
For the current session, limited number of seats are available on first come first served basis. Application forms can be obtained at the school office between 0900 – 1200 hrs from Monday to Friday.
