Sri Vijaya Puram, July 05: In a proactive move on the occasion of , to sensitize the local people and PRIs about the values of tree planting, nurturing and protecting it for the future generation and to enhance public safety and address local grievances, the Forest Department conducted a comprehensive awareness camp today at the , . The program focused on tree planting and nurturing, impact of illegal tree felling, encroachment, crocodile safety measures, dangerous trees matter and clarifying various Forest Department issues affecting the local community. The initiative was spearheaded by Mr. , Range Officer (Betapur Range), and Mr. (FRO). The session commenced with a welcome address by Mr. . During the meeting, the Range Officers sensitized the gathering on: impact of illegal tree felling and encroachment, Crocodile Conflict Management and prevention.
