Sri Vijaya Puram, July 02: In yet another proud moment for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, nine-year-old chess player ACM Medanth R has achieved his FIDE ratings, marking a significant milestone in his young chess career.
Medanth recently participated in the 17th KIIT International Chess Tournament 2026 held in Bhubaneswar. With an impressive performance, he earned his maiden FIDE ratings in both the Standard and Blitz formats, as per the latest rating list published yesterday by FIDE (World Chess Federation)
ACM Medanth R has been awarded a FIDE Standard Rating of 1518 and a FIDE Blitz Rating of 1533, an outstanding achievement at such a young age.
