Sri Vijaya Puram, June 29:In accordance with the Ministry of Cooperation’s (MoC) proposal to celebrate the period from 29.06.2026 to 06.07.2026 as ‘Cooperative Week’ across the country in connection with completion of five years of establishment of the MoC on 06.07.2026, the Department of Cooperation (DoC), A & N Islands started the celebration with administration of pledge to its officer/staff and also to the officers/staff of various cooperative societies. The pledge reaffirmed their commitment towards the vision of “Sahakar-Se-Samriddhi” and their resolve to contribute to building an Aatmanirbhar and empowered India.
As part of the inaugural celebrations, Secretary (Cooperation), A&N Administration, administered the pledge to the Headquarter staff at the Office of DoC and flagged off a mobile van, provided by the A & N State Cooperative Bank Ltd, with messages on initiatives of MoC for spreading awareness amongst the general public. Similar activities were also held across the A&N Islands by the respective field offices of the DoC.
During the week-long celebration, various outreach, awareness and stakeholder engagement activities will be organized to showcase the initiatives, achievements and contribution of the cooperative sector towards the vision of “Sahakar-Se-Samriddhi”.
