
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 29: The District Administration, South Andaman has intensified its ongoing anti-encroachment campaign to safeguard Government land, preserve public spaces, and ensure their lawful utilization for the welfare of the community. As part of this sustained initiative, Revenue authorities have been conducting regular surveillance and prompt enforcement actions to prevent unauthorized occupation of Government land across the district.
A major eviction operation was carried out today at Garacharma village along the Attam Pahar Junction. The Revenue officials successfully removed 09 encroachments, comprising 05 unauthorized structures and 04 fenced enclosures erected on Government Revenue land. An area measuring approximately 2,500 Square Meter of Government Revenue Land has been restored to its original shape by the District Revenue authorities.
Citizens are urged to cooperate with the Administration by refraining from encroaching upon Government land and by promptly reporting any instances of illegal occupation or unauthorized construction. Public participation remains vital in ensuring the protection of Government assets and maintaining planned and orderly development.
