
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 21: The election for the State Children Committee of Jawahar Bal Manch was successfully conducted on 20th June 2026 at the Congress Office, Port Blair, in a democratic and enthusiastic atmosphere. Children enthusiastically participated in the election process, reflecting their keen interest in leadership and organizational activities.
The election programme was organized under the leadership of State Chairperson of Jawahar Bal Manch, Smt. S. Sita Lakshmi, and was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Rangalal Halder, President, ANTCC; Shri T.S.G. Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee; Shri Mohd. Zubair, President, City Congress Committee; Shri Sadab Riaz, General Secretary, City Congress Committee; Mr. M.A. Sajid, State President, NSUI; Shri R.K. Raj, Chairman, OBC Department; Shri Saji Varghese, Chairman, Minority Department; and Shri Ankit Tripathi, General Secretary, Unorganised Workers & Employees Congress.
Following the counting of votes, the results were officially declared, wherein Master P. Vinay Siva Sai was elected as President, Miss Sruthi as Vice-President, and Miss Tara Deepika as General Secretary of the State Children Committee of Jawahar Bal Manch. Further, Master Naveen Kumar was elected as Joint Secretary, Master Rajesh as Treasurer, while Miss Harika, Master P. Vijay Siva Sai, and Master M. Sai Kumar were elected as Executive Members. The declaration of the results marked the successful completion of the democratic election process and reflected the spirit of participation, leadership, and teamwork among the children.
The newly elected office bearers expressed their gratitude to the members for reposing confidence in them and assured that they would work with dedication to promote educational, cultural, social, and leadership-oriented activities among children across the islands. Senior Congress leaders and well-wishers congratulated the newly elected team and encouraged them to uphold the values of democracy, discipline, unity, and service to society.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective pledge by the newly elected committee members to work towards the overall development, empowerment, and welfare of children in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
