
HARINAGAR, JUNE 12: An Integrated Road Safety Awareness and Transport Service Outreach Programme (Phase-II) was successfully conducted today at the Conference Hall of Gram Panchayat Harinagar. The programme was organized by Er. Chandra Sekhar Rao ,newly promoted Assistant Engineer, State Transport Service (STS), Mayabunder Unit, along with his departmental staff.
The awareness camp was attended by several dignitaries, including Shri Manojit Halder, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Harinagar; Smti Mamta Biswas, Up-Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Harinagar; Dr. Kesavan Murugesan, Medical Officer, PHC Billyground; Shri S. Sudharshan, Sub-Inspector, Police Station Billyground; and the Patwari of Harinagar Circle.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Shri Manojit Halder, Pradhan, who expressed his sincere gratitude to the Director of State Transport Service for organizing the awareness campaign in the area following a request made by the Panchayat. He emphasized the importance of road safety awareness and transport-related public services for the welfare of the local community.
During the programme, officials educated the public on various transport services provided by the department and highlighted essential road safety measures, traffic regulations, and responsible driving practices. The session aimed to create greater awareness among citizens and promote safer road usage.
The programme concluded with insightful addresses from all the dignitaries present, who collectively urged the public to strictly adhere to road safety norms and make effective use of the transport services available. The participants appreciated the initiative and expressed their support for similar awareness programmes in the future.
