Sri Vijaya Puram, June 4: A tree fall incident in front of the Fire Brigade office caused temporary disruption today morning after it came down onto overhead electrical lines, damaging wires and affecting movement in the surrounding area.
According to information from the site, the incident was reported between 8:10 and 8:15 a.m., following which teams from the Electricity Department, Forest Department, and Fire Services rushed to the spot to manage the situation and begin clearance work.
Officials said the fallen tree and obstructing debris were cleared after nearly four to five hours of coordinated effort, with the road being substantially cleared by around 12 noon. However, full restoration works were continuing when last report poured in as electricity department personnel were replacing the damaged electric pole and re-stringing the affected power lines. No casualties were reported in the incident.
