On the occasion of Goa Foundation Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the vibrant and culturally rich state of Goa, especially those residing in these islands.
This day marks a significant milestone in our nation’s history, commemorating the integration of Goa into the Indian Union after centuries of colonial rule. It is an occasion to reflect with pride on Goa’s glorious heritage, remarkable progress and the enduring spirit of unity, harmony and resilience that defines its people.
Renowned for its scenic beauty and warm hospitality, Goa is equally admired for its rich traditions, artistic excellence and strong democratic values. Over the years, the State has made notable progress in tourism, education, environmental conservation and sustainable development, emerging as a model of balanced growth and cultural preservation.
The celebrations truly embody the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, highlighting how the diversity of our States strengthens the unity and character of our great nation. As we celebrate this special occasion, let us also reaffirm our shared commitment towards building a Viksit Bharat.
