Sri Vijaya Puram, May 22: Celebration of the International Day for Biodiversity-2026 begins with planting of saplings of medicinal tree (Neem) Azadirachta indica by Regional Head, Dr Lal Singh followed by a drawing competition for school students at Botanical Garden of BSI, ANRC. During the celebration students from over 10 schools, scientists and staff of the regional centre, local people actively participated and showed keen interest for conservation of biodiversity.
