Sri Vijaya Puram, May 20: Mr. Rajesh Majumdar, State Vice President, Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, along with the HRS team, pursued the issue of LPG cylinder shortage with the concerned department and distributor in the interest of residents of Little Andaman.
During a general discussion held on the issue of LPG supply with Mr. Ramesh, Secretary, CCS, it was informed that LPG cylinder supply for R.K. Pur has already been completed in the last batch. Further, arrangements are being made for Rabindra Nagar and Vivekananda Pur, where approximately 1400 cylinders are required.
The Secretary, CCS assured that loading for Little Andaman will be completed within the next 2–3 days and the cylinders are expected to reach Little Andaman shortly thereafter.
Necessary efforts are being taken to ensure timely supply and avoid inconvenience to the general public. Mr. Rajesh Majumdar expressed his sincere thanks to Mr. Ramesh, Secretary, CCS, for his cooperation and assurance on the matter.
