Sri Vijaya Puram, May 15: The Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, has undertaken concerted efforts to diversify leisure and recreational adventure water sports activities in the tourism sector of North & Middle Andaman district.
As part of this initiative, scuba diving sites have been identified around Diglipur to provide an exclusive scuba diving experience for visiting tourists and adventure enthusiasts. The Diglipur region possesses immense potential for scuba diving activities, offering opportunities to showcase the rich underwater marine biodiversity and coral ecosystems of the region.
Altogether, four new dive sites have been identified to promote scuba diving activities across the region and cater to the growing requirements of visiting tourists. The details of the identified sites are as follows:-

The identification of these dive sites fulfils a long-standing demand of tourism stakeholders and boat operators of North & Middle Andaman district for expanding opportunities to tap the potential of scuba diving in the region.
In view of the above, tourism stakeholders and scuba diving centres/operators may now register their scuba diving centres for operations in the Diglipur region and conduct scuba diving activities in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
