Port Blair, June 09: The Cattle Pound of Collinpur, which was constructed long back, is still waiting for its first guest. According to villagers the Cattle Pound remain vacant all the time, although it was constructed wasting lakhs of tax-payers money with an excuse that the area needs a cattle pound urgently. Present the cattle pound is empty but roads are always full of cattle, causing obstruction to normal traffic. Not only this, the cattle pound is in dilapidate shape as after construction nobody ever took any pain to maintain the structure. According to villagers, the funniest part of the story is that often during heavy rain cattle roaming on road often takes shelter inside the cattle pound of their own.
