Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 26: The North & Middle Andaman District Police successfully organized the District Police Cup–2026 Cricket Tournament at Netaji Stadium, Mayabunder, from 11th to 24th April 2026. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 160 players, showcasing remarkable talent, discipline, and a strong competitive spirit.
In an exciting grand finale, Forest-XI narrowly defeated Police-B to lift the championship title, while all participating teams were appreciated for their commendable performance and true sportsmanship. Beyond competition, the tournament served as a platform to encourage youth towards physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and a positive lifestyle, steering them away from drugs and harmful habits through active engagement.
The North & Middle Andaman District Police expressed gratitude to all players, organizers, and supporters for contributing to the success of the event, strengthening community bonds and reinforcing the values of health, unity, and sportsmanship.
