Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 24: To check cleanliness and sanitation under swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Mr. Naresh Chander Lal Padmashri Awardee and Ambassador Swachh Bharat Mission Andaman and Nicobar Islands, on 24th April visited the Govt. Senior Secondary School Wimberlygunj and interacted with the students and teachers to maintain cleanliness at their school premises as well as to their respective societies.
Mr. Lal urged students to take part in Sports to make them Fit and also keep themselves away from substances which harm their body and mind.
He also urged students to channel their minds towards creative pursuits by using their mobiles to produce short films showcasing the islands culture.
He encouraged them to visit Libraries and cultivate the habit of reading books. Mr. Lal further emphasized the need to conserve Water and urged the students not to waste even a single drop in their daily lives. Mr. S. Kanan SHO Police Station Bambooflat also highlighted the students about the Traffic Rules.
Dr. Manoharan DEO Wimberlygunj and Principal of the School accompanied SBM Ambassador during the visit.
