Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 24: Department of Education and Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, A & N Administration, in collaboration with the Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA), will be organizing the Open Chess Tournament in the Islands, titled “Andaman-Nicobar Chess Mahasangram 2.0” at Netaji Stadium under Flood Light from 25.04.2026 to 26.04.2026. This time around 800 participants are expected to participate in the mega event.
Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, Worthy Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, will grace the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest on 25.04.2026 at 05:00PM at Netaji Stadium.
All necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. Spectators and Chess enthusiasts are requested to turn out in large numbers to witness the Chess Mahasangram.
