Port Blair, Jun 4: The residents of Neil Island and Hutbay recently approached Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC and took up the issue of providing Dental Doctors in the PHCs of their areas.
They also stated that even for small dental problems, they have to rush to Port Blair for getting treatment and spend their hard earned money and precious time. They have also stated that because of modern food habits and other reasons the children, most of whom are school goers, often get dental problems and to get treatment they have to miss their classes and visit Port Blair.
Problem becomes very hard when their aged family members and the teeth growing children need immediate checkups by the Dentist and they don’t get immediate treatment and cry due to heavy toothache and headache.
Hence, for easing the problems of the residents of these areas, Mr. Sharma has written a letter of request to the Lt Governor to consider early appointment of Dentists for Neil and Hutbay PHCs which is a genuine demand of the public of the areas. Mr. Sharma also added that this consideration of the Administrator will not only be beneficial for the populace but also two Dental doctors waiting for government job under this administration can be accommodated.
