
Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr. 13: The National Surfing Championship – Little Andaman Pro 2026, held from April 9 to 12, 2026, at Little Andaman, concluded successfully, marking a historic milestone for the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The championship witnessed vibrant participation from surfers across the Islands and mainland India, making it a truly national sporting event.
As the first-ever national-level surfing competition hosted in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the event has significantly strengthened the region’s position on India’s surfing landscape while also drawing attention to its potential as a global surfing destination.
The successful organization of the championship was made possible under the visionary leadership of Mr. Vinayak Chamadia, IAS, Director of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T), and under the able guidance and supervision of Mr. Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration.
