Port Blair, June 02: A fire was reported from ANIIDCO Head Office on Saturday morning at around 8.30 am. According to reports available here the fire was brought under total control by 10.25 am by Fire Service Jawans. This was the second fire accident in last three months. According to reports, nearly three months back there was a fire in the Accounts section of ANIIDCO building.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, the General Manger of ANIIDCO, Mr. Mohd. Pervaiz today said that Saturday’s fire was reported from Personnel & Administration Sections of ANIIDCO. According to Fire Services the fire has gutted a few files, IMFL records, nearly 3 Air Conditioners, Computers and Computer Tables.
“No important files are damaged. Except one file of a DRM other files are recoverable. IMFL’s original files are safe only the file containing some bills and C Forms are party burnt. The fire broke out from an UPS. The cause of Fire can be ascertained from Fire Brigade there is no foul play,” Mr. Parvaiz clarified.
