Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 05: A Krishi Camp was organized recently under the CD Block Ferrargunj at Miletilak and Wandoor villages with the objective of supporting and empowering the local farming community. The camp was conducted to raise awareness among farmers on modern and scientific agricultural practices, sustainable farming methods, and various government schemes aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and ensuring farmers’ welfare.
Interacting with the farmers, the Block Development Officer, Mrs. Lalita Tigga, encouraged the farming community to adopt improved agricultural practices and make optimal use of the schemes and support extended by the Government.
Farmers from both villages participated enthusiastically in the camp and engaged in meaningful discussions with the officials. They raised various queries related to cultivation practices, pest management, and access to government assistance. Informational materials were also distributed among the participants to further enhance their knowledge and encourage the adoption of improved practices.
