Campbell Bay, March 29, 2026: In a significant step toward digital inclusion, Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) connectivity was successfully established in the remote areas of Gandhi Nagar and Shastri Nagar under Campbell Bay tehsil on the evening of March 28, 2026.
Located nearly 30 kilometers from Campbell Bay, these villages are among the most remote habitations in the region. The launch of high-speed broadband services marks a major milestone in improving digital access and communication infrastructure for local residents.
The FTTH network was formally initiated and tested in the presence of BSNL officials and local representatives, including Sub-Divisional Engineer (SDE) Mr. Ajay Kumar, Mr. Prahlad Singh, Pradhan of Laxmi Nagar, and Mr. Gopal Rao, Senior Technical Staff of BSNL. The Optical Line Terminal (OLT) has been successfully made operational under the supervision of Mr. Rahul Singh of Raj Electronics, the executing agency for the project.
The initiative comes after a long-standing demand raised by Pradhan Prahlad Singh, who emphasized the need for reliable internet connectivity to support students in accessing better educational resources and employment opportunities.
Expressing his gratitude, the Pradhan thanked the CGM, BSNL, for addressing the concerns of the local population and prioritizing the development needs of the area.
With the service now operational, residents of Gandhi Nagar and Shastri Nagar can avail FTTH connections by contacting Mr. Rahul Singh of Raj Electronics at 9933712807.
The rollout of FTTH services is expected to bridge the digital divide in these remote villages and open new avenues for education, communication, and economic growth.
