Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 25:In a heartening example of community solidarity and compassion, the medical treatment of Smt. M. Reena was made possible through the generous financial support of donors, well-wishers, and kind-hearted individuals. Social worker VD Leju has conveyed his sincere gratitude to all those who extended timely assistance during a critical phase.
According to information received, Smt. Reena required specialized medical consultation on the mainland, which posed a significant financial challenge for her family. Responding to the appeal for help, several individuals came forward with monetary contributions and moral support. With this assistance, she was able to travel to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital, Chennai, for detailed medical evaluation and treatment.
After thorough examination, doctors advised against proceeding with surgery at this stage, stating that it could further complicate her condition. Following medical consultation, she has safely returned to the Islands and is continuing treatment as per the advice of the doctors.
Expressing deep appreciation, VD Leju stated that the compassion and generosity shown by the community not only eased the financial burden of medical expenses and travel but also restored hope and dignity to Smt. Reena and her family during a very difficult time. She thanked every contributor, well-wisher, and prayer partner whose support made a meaningful difference.
