Port Blair, May 26: On hearing the sad news of Naxal attack in Chattishgarh during Congress’s Parivartan Yatra, an emergency meeting was called at Gandhi Bhavan today at 5.30PM when the leaders and members of ANTCC, DCC, Pradesh Youth Congress, City Congress, Seva Dal, Mahila Congress and INTUC have strongly condemned the attack on democracy of our country.
In the said attack PCC President of Chattishgarh Congress Mr. Nand Kumar Patel, Senior Leader Mahendra Karma, Mr. Udai Mudaliar and several dedicated workers were killed. Senior leader Mr. Vidya Charan Shukla and many others were seriously injured. All the leaders stated that in this critical and sad moment, they all remain with the family members of the departed souls and also with the injured leaders. Two minutes silence was also observed in the honour of the departed souls.
