Rangat, Feb 22: The recurring water crisis in Rangat has intensified, with residents experiencing severe water shortages, particularly during the peak summer season. Water supply is reportedly disrupted every alternate day, causing significant hardship to households across the region. Despite the issue surfacing year after year, locals allege that no concrete or long-term measures have been taken to address the situation.
Residents have strongly demanded the immediate construction of a permanent dam to resolve the persistent shortage. Although the process for constructing a dam at Parnasala village had been initiated earlier, the project has reportedly stalled, leaving the matter unresolved. Locals have urged the authorities to revive and complete the dam project at the earliest, stating that continued delays may compel them to launch an agitation.
The crisis is not limited to Rangat alone but also affects several nearby villages, making it a matter of urgent public concern. Citizens have called for a sustainable and permanent solution to end the annual water scarcity and ensure uninterrupted supply in the region. The people of Rangat now await a prompt response from the administration, hoping for decisive action to resolve the long-pending issue.
