Port Blair, May 24: Some of the Anganwadi workers met the PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma and stated that they all hail from very poor family background and somehow managing their needs with the help of the small amount of honorarium, which they get from Anganwadi.
They alleged that there is no fix date for the payment and hence they face a lot of hardship in running their family. They requested the President of PCC to find out a way so that they get their payments at a fixed date.
Accordingly Sharma has written a letter of request to the Director Social Welfare Board to fix a date of disbursement of their honorarium by the first week of every month, so that these workers get their honorarium at a particular date, which will be very much beneficial to all of them.
