Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 07: The Chief Electoral Officer, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. L. Kumar, IAS, has appealed to all electors of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands to submit the Enumeration Forms distributed by the Booth Level Officers during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls before December 11, 2025.
Electors are advised that those who fail to submit the Enumeration Form by the deadline will not have their names included in the Draft Electoral Roll, which is scheduled to be published on December 16, 2025.
Current status of Enumeration Form (EFs) distribution, collection, digitization are as under:

With just five days remaining for the enumeration phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) to end, the number of voters listed as ‘death’, ‘Untraceable/Absent’, ‘Permanently shifted’, ‘Already enrolled’ & ‘others’ in this UT of Andaman & Nicobar Islands is 67,603, as per the current status (data upto 06.12.2025, 6.00 pm).
Of the total 67,603 (tentative) electors in this category, 9121 are listed as ‘dead’, 31,608 as ‘untraceable or absent’, while 23,468 are reported to have permanently shifted. There are also 2774 electors whose names are duplicate/already enrolled on the list and 632 electors in the ‘Others’ category. These electors account for 21.78% of the total Enumeration Forms distributed. The BLOs visited every household upto 3 times for distribution, collection of Enumeration Forms.
If the Booth Level Officer (BLO) finds, based on verification, that the elector is deceased, the voter is marked as ‘dead; under the uncollectable category. If local enquiry reveals that the voter has permanently shifted, the voter is marked as ‘permanently shifted or absent or untraceable’ as applicable.
In cases where a voter has two entries at different parts and chooses one, the other entry is classified as ‘duplicate or already enrolled’. If electors explicitly state that they do not wish to accept the forms, or that they will not be returning them, the case is marked under ‘Others’.
The Electoral Registration Officer and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) of Sri Vijaya Puram and Ferrargunj Tehsils convened a meeting with recognized political parties on 05.12.2025 and handed over the tentative uncollectable list to representatives of recognised political parties present in the meeting. Similar meetings will be conducted by the District Election Officers and AEROs of North & Middle Andaman and Nicobar Districts and will share the list of tentative uncollectable forms with the representatives of recognised Political Parties. At the Polling Station level, the BLO-BLA meeting will be conducted and will share the tentative uncollectable list to BLAs for respective polling stations.
In cases where no Booth Level Agents (BLA) has been appointed by a recognized political party for a polling station, the tentative uncollectable list will be displayed within the polling station for public verification. The details of BLO-BLA meetings alongwith photographs will also be uploaded on the CEO’s website and the respective District Administration websites.
The CEO has requested all Political Parties and electors to verify the tentative uncollectable list. If any elector listed under the uncollectable category is available or traceable, they are requested to immediately contact concerned Booth Level Officers or visit offices of the AEROs, ERO, DEO or call Helpline No.1950 before 11th December, 2025 to ensure inclusion of their name in the Draft Electoral Roll to be published on 16.12.2025. Any person whose name is not found in draft roll to be published on 16.12.2025 may apply through Form-6 alongwith a declaration form during claims and objections period from 16.12.2025 to 15.01.2026.
