Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 13: On the occasion of 150 years of “Vande Mataram,” cadets of 1 Andaman & Nicobar NCC proudly sang the national song at the historic Cellular Jail on 13th Nov 2025. The event celebrated 150 years since Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay composed the patriotic hymn in 1875. Amid the inspiring setting of the Jail, the cadets’ voices echoed with emotion and national pride, paying tribute to India’s freedom fighters. The initiative reflected the NCC’s dedication to promoting patriotism, discipline, and unity among youth, drawing appreciation from officers, dignitaries, and visitors present.
