Port Blair, May 07: The City President of Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha today urged the Deputy Commissioners to issue directions to Patwaris to remain in offices so that people with their revenue related issue, can meet Patwaris easily.
In a letter addressed to the DC Mr. S. Balaji, City President of BJYM has mentioned that the patwaris are the real ambassadors of the Revenue Department because they directly deal with common man in their day to day activities, related revenue matters.
But he mentioned that due to several official and unofficial reasons Partwaris remain out of office most of the time, which leaves common man in soup. “It is easy to meet DC and Tehsilder than meeting Patwaris,” he said.
