
Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 11: Dr. Visha Kumari Venugopalan D/O Late S Venugopalan and VK Santha Kumari (Samiti Member) of Padmanabhapuram Village, Middle Andaman has been honoured with the prestigious Associateship of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), India, in recognition of her significant contributions to dryland farming systems and abiotic stress management in rainfed crops.
The NAAS Associateship is one of the highest recognitions conferred upon young scientists in India for their excellence and innovation in agricultural research. Dr. Visha Kumari’s work has greatly advanced the understanding and management of climate-induced stresses in rainfed ecosystems, contributing to the development of sustainable and resilient farming practices.
